Neousys Announces Support for Teledyne FLIR OEM’s FLIR ADK Thermal Infrared Camera on NVIDIA® Jetson-Based NRU-230V-AWP for Mission-Critical Edge AI

Neousys Technology, a leading provider of rugged edge AI computers announced its waterproof NVIDIA® Jetson edge AI computer NRU 230V AWP now supports the FLIR ADK™, an automotive thermal vision development kit from Teledyne FLIR OEM. This compatibility unlocks the next generation of automotive-grade thermal vision for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles (AVs) used in defense and other mission-critical applications by providing reliable perception day or night, even in smoke, most fog, and harsh weather.

Powered by the NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ or NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ Industrial, the NRU-230V-AWP delivers exceptional computing performance for AI-based perception and decision-making at the edge. Through its compatibility with the FLIR ADK, users can easily integrate thermal imaging into their embedded vision systems. The FLIR ADK combines an IP67-rated enclosure, a heated window, and high-sensitivity thermal sensors to produce clear, high-contrast thermal imagery in total darkness, blinding sunlight, dense fog, and other low-visibility conditions.

Designed for demanding environments, NRU-230V-AWP features IP66 waterproof and dustproof protection, up to -40°C to 75°C wide-temperature operating range (with NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ Industrial), 8× GMSL2 FAKRA camera ports, and 8 to 48V wide-range DC input. When paired with the FLIR ADK, it forms a ready-to-deploy thermal-AI solution for defense and security vehicles, border-patrol systems, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), and public-safety platforms. The combination also enhances autonomous navigation, perimeter defense, and tactical inspection tasks in extreme outdoor conditions where visibility and system resilience are paramount.

“As the leading low-risk global supplier of thermal imaging, we are thrilled to support Neousys Technology with thermal perception via the FLIR ADK,” said Mike Walters, vice president, product management, Teledyne FLIR OEM. “Our world-class technical support backed by decades of experience ensures Neousys can maximize the value of thermal imaging in edge-AI applications for defense and public safety applications and vehicles.”

“With the integration of Teledyne FLIR thermal cameras, the NRU-230V-AWP becomes a true edge AI computer purpose-built for mission-critical applications,” said Kaichu, Product Manager at Neousys Technology. “Combining thermal and RGB camera sensors has proven to be a powerful strategy for ensuring reliable perception across diverse weather and lighting conditions. With driver-ready support for both thermal and RGB automotive GMSL2 cameras, we empower our customers to accelerate the validation of their bold, innovative edge AI solutions with greater efficiency and confidence.”
