Neousys Releases Rugged NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ NX Computer for Roadside and In-vehicle Intelligent Video Analytics

Neousys Technology, a leading provider of rugged embedded systems, announces the latest addition to its rugged Jetson product line, the NRU-52S+ series. Specifically designed for edge deployment in roadside or in-vehicle environments, it features a -25°C to 70°C wide operating temperature range, 8V to 35V DC input with ignition power control, a compact footprint, and 4x IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ ports. Additionally, it offers impressive 100 TOPS AI performance powered by Jetson Orin NX, making it ideal for modern AI applications such as traffic management, law enforcement, or ADAS on off-road vehicles.

The NRU-52S+ has been equipped with numerous features to meet edge deployment requirements, including performance, power, thermal efficiency, size, camera connectivity, shock, and vibration. Leveraging Jetson Orin NX, the NRU-52S+ provides up to 100 TOPS AI performance while consuming only 25W. The high AI performance per watt makes the NRU-52S+ ideal for applications with a limited power source, such as in a robot, vehicle, or rolling stock.

With Neousys’ industrial-grade thermal design, the NRU-52S+ offers reliable fanless operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 70°C, suitable for deployment at roadside locations, agriculture, construction sites, or in dusty factories. To facilitate deployment in confined spaces, the NRU-52S+ series features four PoE++ ports delivering up to 144W of power to PTZ and IP cameras, all within a compact 173 x 144 x 60 mm footprint. Notably, the GbE port is equipped with a carefully designed screw-lock to improve shock and vibration resistance. Finally, mobile connectivity can be enabled through the internal M.2 B or mPCIe expansion.

“The NRU-52S+ is an edge-deployment-ready Jetson Orin NX computer with 4x PoE++ GbE ports for IP or PTZ camera connectivity. It can accelerate the deployment of modern vision-based IVA applications, from smart city, V2X, agriculture and construction.,” said Kaichu Wu, Product Manager at Neousys Technology.
