Neousys Unveils POC-900 Ultra-Compact DIN-Rail Embedded Computer Powered by AMD® Ryzen™ PRO 8640U

Neousys Technology, a leading provider of rugged embedded computers, today announced the POC-900, an ultra-compact DIN-rail embedded computer based on the AMD® Ryzen™ PRO 8640U processor with an integrated Ryzen™ AI NPU. Compared to its predecessor, POC-900 offers up to 2.7× higher CPU performance and enhanced on-device AI capability, while providing expanded industrial connectivity for applications such as industrial automation, edge AI, and machine vision.

As part of the POC series, POC-900 maintains 64 × 116 × 176 mm (W x D x H) dimensions as its predecessor, allowing direct upgrades and drop-in replacement in existing deployments.

AMD® Ryzen™ PRO 8640U with Integrated Ryzen™ AI NPU
Powered by the AMD® Ryzen™ PRO 8640U, POC-900 delivers up to 2.7× higher CPU performance compared to the previous generation. The integrated Ryzen™ AI NPU enables on-device AI inference for low-latency processing in machine vision, industrial control, and edge computing workloads.

Wide-Temperature Fanless Design with Optional 30W TDP
The system supports -25°C to 70°C fanless operation with a 15W TDP configuration. For applications requiring higher performance processors, an optional fan kit allows operation at up to 30W TDP in industrial environments.

Rich Industrial I/O and Flexible Expansion via MezIO®
Despite its compact size, POC-900 integrates four PoE+ GbE Ethernet ports, four USB 3.2 ports, and isolated digital I/O for direct interfacing with cameras, sensors, and industrial equipment. It also features Neousys’ MezIO® expansion interface, enabling modular add-ons such as additional LAN, USB, COM, DIO, or ignition control. This combination of built-in I/O and modular expansion offers configuration flexibility for inspection systems, factory automation, and mobile robotics.

Ultra-Compact DIN-Rail Fanless Form Factor
Retaining the same footprint as the previous generation, POC-900 offers a rugged, space-efficient platform suitable for control cabinet integration. Its fanless design enables continuous, reliable operation with minimum maintenance, while the DIN-rail-mount form factor simplifies installation and deployment in industrial environments.
